Update

Yoooo! So this is just an update post to let you know the goings-on in my life. I received my GCSE results on the 22nd and passed so I'll be going to Sixth Form an studying English, History, Performing Arts & Dance, and Government & Politics. I'm extremely excited to start this new chapter in my life and to have so much freedom to do what I like (within reason obviously) and to finally be rid of my boring school uniform thank goodness. This also (hopefully) means outfit posts because I'm in something other than uniform and pyjamas.
I am also moving house next week so will have a lot more space and privacy which may result in more frequent blogging? As I am starting school in a couple of weeks I will try and schedule a few posts and do another update in about a month or so.

Exams are over!

It thrills me to say that I have FINALLY FINISHED SCHOOL! Excuse the caps but I am just so darn excited. Bring on the lie-ins and excuses to go shopping. This also means I definitely will be blogging more (I pinky promise) and be able to read more blogs so if you have one please comment below so I can check it out, I need more reading material. It feels so good to not worry about exams; apart the dreaded Results Day (shudder) but ill cross that bridge when I get to it. I have soo many ideas for posts and I can't wait!

Break.

Hi guys! Sadly I am going to be taking a little break from the blogging world to focus on my exams (boo! hiss!). I have taken four exams already (one was a ten hour art exam) and still have seven more to do. I have a huge amount of planned posts when I come back: prom outfit, trip to London, top 10 most-played etc etc. Hopefully when I have (officially) left school I will blog more often. Wish me luck! 'Till next time...

Worldwide Wardrobe- Cocktails in New York

new york

 / Topshop varsity style jacket £79 /Jane Norman pencil skirt £20 / High heels £24 / H&M bracelet £6.99 / ASOS pendant jewelry £15 / Topshop Bralet £6

Hi guys! This is most definitely my last entry despite what I had said previously (Queen Mind-changer). This is entered in the Cocktails in New York category (maybe my fave category) and I had tons of fun putting together this outfit, starting with the skirt. I pieced the outfit around this item as I was so in love with it and definitely wanted this to be the statement piece. I then added the yellow crop à la Karlascloset as this colour is in the skirt and would definitely make it the yellow stand out. To keep the accessories simple I added a simple gold cuff and hooped earrings to add interest. For the shoes I stuck with the black and gold theme and added these sandals from Gojane.com, a more demure statement heel compared to a platform. The final item I added was this bomber by Topshop adding a casual edge to the outfit. So urban yet so chic and trendy. To have a few cocktails with the girls this outfit is a sure-fire way to get all the attention on you; it is very on trend and way more comfortable then wearing a dress. Worldwide Wardrobe- Full Moon party in Thailand

Thailand

Lacy dress £19/ Wonderland bikini swimwear £15 / John Lewis £30 / Mango knot bracelet £15 / Fat Face western straw hat £20 / Round sunglasses £18

Hi guys! As you may already know, I am competing in the Money Supermarket Worldwide Wardrobe competition   http://www.travelsupermarket.com/c/holidays/worldwide-wardrobe/  and this is most likely going to be my last entry (mainly due to exams, lack of free time etc). This is probably my favourite because I'm in love with summer wear at the moment and have spent a lot of time lusting after swimwear and while revising, imagining myself wearing them lounging on a beach somewhere other than holed up in my room (anyone else?) so it was fun to play around with the looks.
The first item I pieced together were these GORGEOUS tan leather sandals from John Lewis. I had them saved in my items list on Polyvore for a while and hinted to my mum about how much of a bargain they were and how I needed new sandals (I don't). I could just imagine them leaving footprints on the beautiful Thailand sands. They go perfect with these pretty bikini which I am also in love with. The colour is so versatile and could literally be worn with any other colour and would look lovely with a tan. I added the orange bracelet for a pop of colour and the cowboy hat because it is pretty cool right? Just look at how snazzy it is. The sunglasses were another item on my saved list and I am absolutely obsessed with them. They add a tough edge to the otherwise bohemian/(dare I say) girly outfit and do its job, which is to protect your retinas from the beautiful (but damaging) sun. And now down to my absolute hands down favourite item. The dress/cover-up. It is stunning! As a 2 piece I would remove the underdress and just wear lazily slung over the bikini. Perfect for a Full Moon party in Thailand.

Worldwide Wardrobe: Cocktails in New York

cocktails

H&M h m jacket, (£46) / ONLY jumpsuits and romper, (£50) / Call it SPRING pointy-toe pumps, (£45) / Rut Circle clutch, (£18) / Dorothy Perkins rose gold bracelet (£14)

Hi everyone! I am here with another 'Worldwide Wardrobe' post, which I am loving! Sorry for the horrible blue writing underneath the photo but I am so technically impaired and am posting my posts from my phone until I get a new laptop (which is hopefully soon, fingers crossed).
So onto the outfit; the theme for this outfit is 'Cocktails in New York' and was really fun to style this time around because it was so fun to play around with textures and shapes. New York is a very famous fashion capital and is the birthplace of the well known television show Gossip Girl. Because of this I kind of based this outfit on the character Blair, in my opinion the best dressed and classiest character who often wore black and white. I chose to use minimalist colours because I absolutely love black, white and gold together and it looks so simple and slick yet chic and trendy. I based this outfit around the jumpsuit which I found first and loved the shape and fit and thought that a simple white blazer would pull it together. Even though the colours are simple it is a very stand outish outfit so I added a beautiful gold cuff and black patent court shoes to avoid over accessorising and the court shoes are not too high to be unable to walk in. The white envelope clutch is also very classy and fresh looking which ties in very well with the blazer and jumpsuit. I think the whole piece seems very effortless and casual but still dressed up enough for cocktails. I personally love classy and comfortable trouser outfits and think that it is very suitable for cocktails in New York.

Worldwide Wardrobe: Sightseeing in Paris

sightseeing in Paris

River Island white and black dress, (£23) /Belted coat, (£40) / Pretty Polly velvet stocking, (£15) / ASOS stretching leather boots, (£37) / H&M zip bag, (£23) / River Island bracelet ring, (£15) / River Island Red ribbed knit beanie hat, (£12)

Hi everyone! So I decided since I am obsessed with Polyvore and styling I should enter the Travel Supermarket fashion competition. This first look is for 'Sightseeing in Paris' and I chose this because it is a comfortable and warm outfit for traipsing the beautiful city of Paris and comfort is key when sightseeing. I based this off of the 'typical' French fashion: stripes, red, black and white but went for a modern twist by swapping the famous beret for a red slouched beanie. I picked the boots because they add a bit of a grunge edge to the outfit which is more my style and they are flat which is a necessity when being on your feet for a long time. For the bag I wanted it to be oversized to fit sightseeing equipment such as cameras, water etc and it suits the versatile striped skater dress well. This is a comfortable and easy outfit put together for sightseeing in Paris.
